Setup

    Install Get whisper_hotkey from the Mac App Store once the listing is live.

    Allow Microphone and Accessibility when asked.

    Dictate Hold your dictation key, speak, and release. Text appears where you are typing.

Local dictation data flow The selected hotkey starts temporary capture. Parakeet runs the bundled model on your Mac and inserts text into the focused field. Temporary audio is deleted. When enabled in Settings, Copy Last Dictation provides a clipboard fallback using only the latest successful transcript, kept in memory until the app quits.
